Adding pictures to your profile
¡@

Adding a picture is seemingly the most difficult thing for people to do, both mentally and technically. Maybe you want to add your picture, but you are feeling a bit apprehensive? Who's going to see it? What if someone I know sees it? I don't want to be embarrassed! Forget about all of that. It's just not going to help you out at all. Your picture is everything here, not adding it would be a costly mistake. So just get over it already!

Adding a picture is a very easy and straightforward process, yet many people have trouble. The first thing to know is you have to have a picture on your computer. If you don't have one, you'll have to create one. This is easy. If you have a digital camera it is just a matter of taking some pictures and loading them onto your computer. If you have a regular film camera you will have an extra step. You will need to scan your pictures into your computer, converting them from paper to digital. If you have a scanner this should be no problem at all. Hopefully you know how to use it, if not, read the directions!  If you don't have a scanner, scan it at your friend's house. You can also take it to a place like Kinko's and use their computer equipment. Whatever way you do it, be it digital camera or scanning from paper, make sure it is a good picture! We see some rather odd pictures being submitted here at DateHookup.com. We often come to ask ourselves the same question: "This is what they chose to submit? THIS?!?!" We want people to be successful here, we get annoyed when they send in a tiny picture that is so small you can't even see the person's face, or when someone submits their passport photo. Come on, we can do better than that can't we? It isn't as if we don't have plenty of pictures of ourselves. If you don't have them on the computer, scan them in! If you don't have a scanner, go to Kinko's and use theirs. It is so easy. A bad picture can in fact be worse than no picture, and that is saying a lot considering their general importance.
